Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Center for Livable Communities
The Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Center for Livable Communities focuses on sustaining the legacy of nationally esteemed former ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø mayor Joe Riley through projects that develop and maintain livable communities in urban, suburban, and rural contexts. The Center carries out its mission by connecting community needs with faculty and student research interests, facilitating and administering grants, and providing expertise and assistance to public and nonprofit organizations.

Center for the Study of Slavery in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
Through scholarly research and public programming, the Center for the Study of Slavery in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (CSSC) examines the impact of slavery and race-related issues in the City of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, and in the surrounding region from the late 18th century through the civil rights era as well as the continued impact and legacy of slavery in the present.

The Center for Social Science Research provides spaces specifically designed to facilitate collaborative research and research-training among faculty and students within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
