In 2024, the 50-year-old building will begin its transformation into a refreshed, reimagined and modern, inviting gathering space where students come together to socialize, study and participate in the full slate of campus opportunities that nurture a strong sense of community.
The project is estimated to be completed in the fall of 2026.

"I have cherished countless memories at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's Stern Center over the last 27 years. From SPECTRA 1997's party to celebrate the end of the summer program to vendor events with MTV on campus, and watching famous comedians perform, each moment holds a special place in my heart. The Stern Center Food Court was a favorite spot, especially before Liberty Café or Chick-fil-A existed. The serene Stern Center gardens provided solace, with koi ponds and turtles creating a peaceful escape on a bustling campus.
Returning to finish my undergraduate degree and working at the College allowed my children to enjoy the Stern Center too. From playing in the gardens to attending events, it became a shared experience. As an employee, I've organized events for the English Department and celebrated National Student Employment Week with the Career Center. The transition from student to staff member has given me a unique perspective on the Stern Center's significance.
Whether as a student or employee, the Stern Center has played a pivotal role in my journey. It's more than a building; it's a hub of memories and experiences that have shaped my time at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø."
