Research Team
The Office of Tourism Analysis main research team consists of a director, research coordinator/analyst, and both undergraduate and graduate research assistants. The Office also has a group of affiliated faculty who are utilized when their research areas align with projects.
Daniel Guttentag, Ph.D. | Director
Daniel Guttentag, Ph.D. is an associate professor of hospitality and tourism management and is the director of the Office of Tourism Analysis. His research areas include peer-to-peer tourism accommodation, innovation (particularly disruptive innovation and the diffusion of innovations), virtual reality, market segmentation, volunteer tourism, and gambling behavior.
Melinda Patience | Research Coordinator & Analyst
Melinda Patience is the research coordinator and primary research analyst for the Office of Tourism Analysis. Her research interest include economic impact of tourism, marketing, and consumer behavior.
