Patricia Tyre, MBA, PMP, PMI-ACP, LSSMBB, CSM, is a certified project management and process improvement expert with over 20 years of experience leading initiatives in Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Total Quality across industries, including healthcare, IT, manufacturing, and finance. She is CEO and Co-Founder of Business Excellence Group and teaches at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, University of Connecticut, and NYU, specializing in agile software design, traditional project management, and global leadership.

What are the course prerequisites?
Because this is a CAPM® certification exam prep course, it is important to us that we set you up for success on the exam. Participants should have:
- A high school diploma, associate’s degree, or global equivalent

Will this course teach me the basics of project management?
No. This course is designed specifically to help you pass the CAPM® exam. It focuses on exam content, strategies, and practice—not general project management fundamentals.

What course materials are included?
Course materials included in the registration fee are:
- The Rita Mulcahy CAPM® Exam Prep book
- Notebook with handouts, memory aids, practice exam questions and exam application support
The cost of the CAPM® exam and PMI® membership is not included.

Do I have to attend every class meeting?
Yes. A requirement of sitting for the CAPM® exam includes completing at least 23 hours of project management education. It is imperative to attend every class meeting to satisfy this requirement.
This is a hybrid course, so you can attend in-person, virtually, or a combination of both.

Is participating in the study group required?
No. It is optional, but it is a great way to increase your engagement with exam content and prepare you even more for the CAPM® exam.

How do I take the CAPM® exam?
You'll need to complete an application, pay and schedule your exam. The cost of the exam is not included.
