Excellence in Mentoring Awards

This spring, students, mentors, alumni, and organizational leaders came together for our annual Celebration of Mentoring—an evening dedicated to honoring the impact of great mentors. The event brought together members of our growing community to recognize those who go above and beyond to guide, support, and inspire others. Award winners were announced throughout the evening (stay tuned for their spotlights!), but the heart of the event was in the conversations, connections, and shared appreciation for the role mentorship plays in shaping personal and professional growth.

Distinguished Mentor Award

The Distinguished Mentor Award is an honor bestowed upon individuals who have exemplified exceptional mentorship throughout their professional journey. Their wisdom, guidance, and support have been instrumental in the success and growth of numerous mentees. They demonstrate a sustained commitment to excellence in mentoring across their careers and serve as role models for other mentors. Recipients are recognized by those they have mentored as someone who played a significant role in their personal and/or professional development and success.

Organizational Excellence in Mentoring Award

The Organizational Excellence in Mentoring Award is a prestigious accolade presented to institutions, companies, or organizations that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to fostering a culture of mentorship within the field of communication. This award recognizes the collective efforts of an entity in providing mentorship programs, resources, and opportunities that have significantly contributed to the growth and development of communication professionals.

Emerging Mentor Award

The Emerging Mentor Award celebrates the remarkable efforts of young professionals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill in mentoring others within the field of communication. This accolade recognizes individuals who, early in their careers, have shown outstanding commitment to guiding and supporting the growth of their peers and mentees. Their contributions have profoundly impacted and inspired the next generation of leaders in communication.
