History-Teacher Education Program - 46 Credit Hours
If you are interested in a teaching career and would love to share your passion for the past with students, the History-Teacher Education Program is a great fit! It is paired with a Secondary Education Cognate, B.S. major, which prepares you to get into the classroom straight after graduation. The History-Teacher Education Program’s flexibility allows you to pursue your interests as a historian, while preparing you for the Social Studies Certification required by the state of South Carolina.
History Minor - 18 Credit Hours
Complement your program of study with a minor in history. The history minor also provides a strong foundation in interdisciplinary fields, such as African American Studies, Gender Studies, and Jewish Studies. The Capstone course is optional.
