After that, just submit the additional required materials. We're excited to receive and review your application!

Application Checklist


All applications must include the following items.

    Ready to join us? Here's how to apply: 

    1. Start by completing your application through the College's portal.
    2. If you are new to the program or College, simply create an account to get started. 
    3. Make sure to select the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLIFE™ application from the available options.
    4. You'll know your application is successfully submitted when you see 100% on the screen.

    After that, just submit the additional required materials. We're excited to receive and review your application! 

    If you require a paper application, we're happy to help! Just email us at charlestonlife@charleston.edu, and we'll send one your way. 

    Reapplying? Just use the same login credentials from your previous application. Can't log back in? No worries! Email us at charlestonlife@charleston.edu, and we'll reset your account. Remember, you'll need to create a new application for the current admissions cycle. We're here to help you every step of the way!

  • Application Fee

    All applicants are required to submit the $60 application fee. Click the link below to complete this step. 

  • Student Questionnaire

    The must be completed by the applicant (student). This is an online questionnaire.

  • Parent Readiness Survey

    The  must be completed by a parent or guardian. This is an online questionnaire.

  • Personal Support Inventory

    The  must be completed by a parent or guardian. This is an online questionnaire.

  • Educator Recommendation

    The must be completed by a teacher or educator who has taught the applicant. Each applicant needs to submit three letters of recommendation, including the Educator Recommendation. This recommendation is an easy-to-complete online questionnaire.

  • Student Recommendation

    The must be completed by a non-family member who has known the applicant for at least three years. Each applicant needs to submit three letters of recommendation, including the Educator Recommendation. This recommendation is an easy-to-complete online questionnaire.

  • Official High School Transcript and Behavior Record

    The school must mail or send via Parchment the official high school transcript and behavior records directly to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLIFE™. Please mail to:

  • Evaluation Documents

    Please submit the following documents:

    • Most recent IEP
    • Psychological report conducted within the past three years (must include an FSIQ, diagnosis and Achievement testing)
    You can send the documents in one of three ways:
    1. Upload in the application portal 
    2. Email from a secure portal to charlestonlife@charleston.edu 
    3. Mail to: ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLIFE™ Program Admissions, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, 66 George Street, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, SC 29424

Application Process


ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøLIFE™ admits ten (10) students per year.

 Here's how to apply:

  • Complete and submit your application, including all required documentation and the application fee.
  • Applications for Fall 2026 open August 1, 2025.
  • We offer two decision rounds:
    • Early Decision applications are due by November 1, 2025 (binding)
    • Regular Decision applications are due by December 15, 2025
  • Selected applicants will be notified if they’re invited to interview. Participation in the interview process is required for admission.
  • All applicants will be notified of the decision once the review process is complete.
  • Accepted students must attend a two-day ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Freshman Orientation in the summer.
