The Department of Accounting and Business Law is proud to be guided by a distinguished Advisory Board composed of accomplished alumni and industry leaders. These professionals bring a wealth of experience that helps shape our curriculum and strategic direction. Their insights ensure our students are prepared to meet the evolving demands of the profession.
Meet our board members:
Bobby Creech, CPA '86 (Board Chair) – Former Chair of the SC Board of Accountancy; 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award winner.
Justin Herp, CPA '15, MSA '16 (Board Vice Chair) – Senior Manager, STS Accounting Methods at BDO in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. 2015 and 2016 (MSA) Alumnus and graduate of the Honors College.
Bob Baldwin, CPA – Partner at Draffin Tucker in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Accounting alum from the University of Georgia and valued community partner.
Zachary Buchanan '08, MSA '11 – Financial Manager at Wells Fargo in Charlotte. Provides a financial services perspective to the board.
Dan Chandler, CPA '01 – Partner at KPMG in Atlanta. A 2001 alumnus with a graduate degree from Auburn University, actively involved in curricular issues related to technology.
Blake Deane, CPA, MSA '09 – VP and Controller at HBAR Foundation in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. A 2009 MSA alumnus with experience in both public accounting and industry.
Caroline Jacobs, CPA '09, MSA '14 – Senior Tax Manager at Elliott Davis in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. A 2009 and 2014 MSA alumna currently working in public accounting.
Maggie Roberts, MSA '12 – Principal at Edgefield Group. A 2012 MSA alumna with an undergraduate degree from Auburn University, experienced in both public accounting and industry.
Blane Ruschak, CPA – President of The PhD Project at KPMG. Long-time board member who also serves on BAP Professional Partner Advisory board and ASU SOA Advisory board.
