Meet the Math and Stats Department

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics' main office is room 339 in the Robert Scott Small (RSS) Building. Faculty offices are in RSS and 4 Greenway nearby. Math and stats classes are taught in various buildings across campus, but most are in the Maybank building just across Cougar Mall from RSS!

Tom Kunkle has been teaching at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø since 1991, when he received his doctorate in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from Kent State University.

Kate Owens joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics faculty in August of 2011. She earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics and M.A. in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina after a B.A. in Pure Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego.
