Research Interest
A fine artist turned researcher in Human Computer Interaction and Game Studies, Dr. Schoemann designs and evaluates new technologies like games and expressive media. In CS she runs the , or "CAT" Lab, focusing on tech for social issues.
Projects include MYdata, an app that lets users visualize data from their everyday lives and Courting Contraceptives a dating sim that helps people who menstruate choose contraceptives and Dolly's World, a queer VR game portraying wage theft.
