Research Interest
At the core of my research program is an ongoing investigation into the mechanisms by which cells control their nuclear morphology and chromatin structure, specifically to understand the consequences of abnormal regulation in these processes in cancer. To address these questions both in vivo and in vitro, I have used several model systems, including the fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster), the African clawed frog (Xenopus laevis), and human cell cultures. My research employs a diverse array of techniques in molecular biology and genetics, as well as cell culture, microinjection, dissection, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, DNA/RNA sequencing, and bioinformatics analysis.
