Hands-On Learning
English majors sharpen their skills inside and outside of the classroom. You may work directly with faculty on independent study projects. You can give public readings, travel to archives and museums and present your research at academic conferences. You'll learn to apply the skills from these opportunities in a professional context.

The English department sponsors and co-sponsors study abroad programs in locations such as England, Ireland, Italy and Spain. Study literature, culture, history and communication in an international context.

Location
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is home to a thriving artistic community. Attend annual events like the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Literary Festival, the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Poetry Society, YALLFest and many other literary gatherings. Each year, ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø hosts the Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto festivals, which are world-renowned art festivals.
